What Are Eyelash Extensions?
They are a revolutionary new product that lengthens and thickens eyelashes. Eyelash
are available in Clusters/Flare or Single Strands of synthetic hair that are curved
to replicate a natural eyelash.
What do they look like and how do they feel?
With the proper application, they look and feel completely natural.
How long do Eyelash Extensions last?
With routine touch ups every 3 to 6 weeks, you can have amazing eyelashes indefinitely.
How long they last without touch ups depends on the natural growth cycle of your
eyelashes. At Beauty-Full Spa we use the very best adhesive specially formulated
with a unique waterproof bonding agent to last longer than most other adhesives.
How often will I require a touch-up?
We recommend getting touch ups as required. Your natural eyelashes shed every 60
to 90 days (8-12 weeks). At any given moment, each of your natural eyelashes is
at a different stage of its life. Eyelash Extensions are never attached to your
own natural baby eyelashes as they lack the strength required to carry the weight
of the Eyelash Extension. Basically you have Baby Eyelashes, Adult Eyelashes and
Very Mature Eyelashes. Baby Eyelashes are easily identified, whereas there is no
way of easily determining the current age of the remaining natural lashes. For example,
attaching the Eyelash Extension to a very mature natural lash could result in the
loss of that lash at anytime. This is why refills are required to replenish the
lashes that have completed their life’s cycle.
Can I apply mascara to my Eyelash Extensions?
One of the biggest advantages for employing Eyelash Extensions is to eliminate the
need to wear mascara. However, if you absolutely must have it, we sell specially
formulated mascara that will not harm your Eyelash Extensions. DO NOT USE OIL-BASED
OR WATER-PROOF MASCARA. Waterproof mascara along with any type of oil based mascara
can dissolve the bonding (adhesive) agent and cause the Eyelash Extensions to fall
off prematurely.
Can I swim, shower, exercise, or visit a spa while wearing my Eyelash Extensions?
Our specially formulated bonding (adhesive) agent allows you to shower, swim, exercise,
and spa worry free while wearing your Eyelash Extensions. You can enjoy these lashes
with little need to adjust your lifestyle. Do not swim or spa for two days after
the procedure to allow adequate bonding time, after that you can swim and spa worry
free.
Can I use Eyelash curlers with my Eyelash Extensions?
You CANNOT use MECHANICAL eyelash curlers as they can permanently damage your Eyelash
Extensions. Our single lashes are created with a beautiful curl, but for those of
you who want an extreme curl look we offer a specially made heated eyelash curler
that is safe to use with your Eyelash Extensions.
How do I take care of my Eyelash Extensions?
- Your new Eyelash Extensions are long, thick and beautiful! To maintain this look and extend the life of your lashes, and to allow adequate time for bonding, do not wash your eyes, swim, or shower for 24 hours after lash application.
- Be gentle and avoid rubbing your lashes.
- Do not use a mechanical eyelash curler. We recommend our specially made heated eyelash curler.
- Avoid oil-based makeup products, including mascara and eye-makeup remover. These will dissolve the adhesive bond.
- Do not use oil-based mascara, or waterproof mascara. With our Eyelash Extensions there is no need to use mascara. However, if you absolutely must use it, we recommend our specially formulated mascara. Apply our mascara on the tips, only. Use our mascara sparingly because very frequent use may shorten the life of your Eyelash Extensions.
- Use only water-based facial cleansers.
- We have available an eye make-up remover that will remove the make-up without weakening the bonding agent holding your lashes in place.
- Do not visit saunas or steam rooms frequently. Routine exposure to heat may cause the bond (adhesive) to loosen.
- You will be given an option to purchase a Protective Coating that can be applied two to two times a week to your new lashes to preserve the look and extend the life of your lashes. Brush on from the base up to the tips. The coating also gives the lashes a wonderful shine!
- We recommend getting a touch up every two to four weeks.
You will be asked to lie down on a comfortably massage table and will be asked to keep your eyes closed. A protective eye pad will be placed under your eye and then the Eyelash Extensions will be applied to each of your non-Baby eyelashes.
Is there any discomfort?
The application process is pain-free and relaxing, in fact, most clients fall asleep during the procedure. The primary ingredient in the adhesive is Ethyl 2 Cyanoacrylate which is the same ingredient used by plastic surgeons in the U.S. for suture-less wound closure. It bonds the artificial lash to your own eyelash in just a few seconds.
Are you ready?
